MNLA’s Legislative Committee continues to be busy with advocacy efforts as we approach the legislative Summer break. Two items we’re working on are:

  • Senate Bill 645 – This Bill removes the requirement of a medically documented condition by a physician for someone to be added to the Pesticide Notification Registry and increases the distance for notification from 100 feet to 500 feet from a linear boundary line.
  • Unemployment – We continue to work towards a waiver from having to seek work for our Green Industry professionals while they are on layoff.
