Conservation-Focused Pesticide Applicators Workshop
LOCATION: Kalamazoo Nature Center, Coopers Glen Auditorium, 7000 N Westnedge Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49009
The Kalamazoo Nature Center has conducted science-based invasive species management services in high-quality natural areas for decades, working in sensitive habitats across the nature center’s own properties and on acres owned by local partners and clients. We are pleased to offer this opportunity for the community to join our team to review safe and professional standards for herbicide application in an upcoming one-day training event.
Sessions will be led by our professional staff with field examples from our work. This workshop will focus on chemical techniques for managing invasive vegetation species in Michigan reviewing material from the MDARD Right of Way Category 6 manual and other relevant content. This workshop is intended for current private and commercial licensed pesticide applicators with active licenses in need of continuing education credits for Category 6 Right-of-Way. Participants must stay for the full sessions and sign in on the attendance sheet with their pesticide applicator license number to receive full credits from MDARD. CEU’s count towards maintaining your certification without needing to retake the tests. Review all requirements for CEU at MDARD Pesticide CEU.
