Business and Allies Stepping Up Pressure on Congress for an Immigration Reform
Posted by Craig Regelbrugge, American Nursery & Landscape Association
Amid high frustration over the loss of legislative momentum for meaningful immigration reform, business and faith leaders are mobilizing for a possible window of opportunity beginning at the end of October. At the same time, business community “heavy hitters”, with household names like Bloomberg and Zuckerberg, are putting their names and their money where their mouth is, as reported by the McClatchy news service Washington bureau.

An immigration reform business and lobbying summit is being planned for October 28 and 29 in Washington, DC. Primary organizers include the National Immigration Forum’s Bibles, Badges, and Business initiative, the Partnership for a New American Economy, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
